self-managed linux hosting account
I want to learn Linux and get a self managed hosting accound some time down the road, but I am wondering about two things:
1) Is it better to get regular edition first and then switch to Server edition as I learn?
2) Is it ok to get a 64bit version or just stick to 32bit and why?
Thank you in advance for any info.

1) It depends on what you want to learn and what your background is. If you want to try a desktop distribution (regular edition) you can download Ubuntu or Linux Mint. You'll find on their sites how to install them on a thumb drive if you dont want to format your PC. And self-managed (or unmanaged as they are called) VPS servers offer preconfigured Linux servers so you wont need to setup anything to start to start learning how to manage servers.
2) At this stage I dont think it makes a difference.
