Default Apple CEO Steve Jobs Retires

Apple CEO Steve Jobs has resigned as the CEO of Apple. Apple's chief operating officer Tim Cook will replace Steve Jobs as the new Apple CEO. Steve Jobs will hold the Charman position of Apple now.

In recent past Steve Jobs had lever transplant, dealt with cancer.

Steve Jobs is simply an icon for many. Without Steve Jobs running Apple, it remains to see how the company performs in innovation and creativity.

Wow, really?! That kind of sucks to be honest. Have you got any links pointing towards this? I am about to check my local newspaper online to see if it's confirmed and/or what not, but if it is, it really sucks.

EDIT: Nothing in my local paper, as of yet, but there may be tomorrow. I'll try point a link towards the confirmation.

I've read it somewhere and as far as I know, Tim Cook will replace him as the CEO and he is along with this decision. I think that Apple would'nt be the same without Jobs.

This was a long time coming for Jobs. I'm sure Apple has been preparing for this for years. They are a smart bunch and will not let Steve down.

Thankfully, his brilliance came into play with the creation of the iPad before his retirement. It's said that he was fascinated with the idea of a tablet back even into the 1990's but was not able to get an ipad out then. Now it seems every company has one.

Wow I wonder if this will trigger a shift in the tide of the battle. (Samsung Galaxies, Google acquiring Motorola, etc vs Apple)

Steve job was really a super hero. Before he passed away, he took only 1 dollar as his salary of last 3 years...
