Cameroon Banned Twitter
The government of Cameroon has banned Twitter in an attempt to prevent future Tunisia- and Egypt-inspired opposition protests.
The opposition poeple had planned protests against the country's longtime president, Paul Biya, last month. But those efforts were put down by security forces.Webmaster Forum <--to the honor of webcosmoforums.com for having us this great place to hang out.

I thought at first glance you had written the government of Cameron, as in David Cameron. Imagine if the UK banned Twitter. I wouldn't put it past Davie Cameron to try and do that.

Even if they banned twitter, if the people wants to protest, there is no way of stopping them and they can use other medium to be heard.

It is not good for getting banned in twitter. Twitter is just social marketing. There is no reason for getting banned.

The only reason any government should be afraid of something like the Tunisia incident is that if it's not doing its functions. That is, to bring quality of life to its citizens. That's what governments are for, anyway.
