Internet Explorer 9 Beta Released
Microsoft released the first public beta of Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) today (Sept 15, 2010).
The new IE9 features hardware acceleration, faster JavaScript rendering and a dramatically streamlined interface that mimics the minimalist approach that was first used by Google's Chrome, then copied by others, including Mozilla's Firefox.
As Microsoft confirmed earlier this year, IE9 will not run on Windows XP. Currently two out of every three machines running Windows are using XP. This sure is a major drawback.
