Posting contest for all members at webcosmoForums
Period: Dec 10, 2009 - Jan 10, 2010

Prizes:
Total: $100

1st prize: $50
2nd prize: $30
3rd prize: $20

Rules:

• You can start anytime during the contest period. No problem starting later then the start date.
• Contest is open for all webcosmoforums.com members excluding moderators and admins.
• Contest would be based on posts you make and referrals to your friends. There is no direct point for referrals but every post your referred friend make you get point. When your referred friend register on this forum, ask them put your username in the referrer text field. Or you can ask them to click on your personal referral url when they register. On your User CP you will see your personal referral link you can give out to others.
• You may use signatures on other forums to get referrals.
• ONLY POSTS MADE DURING THE CONTEST PERIOD COUNTS. PREVIOUS POSTS WOULD NOT COUNT.
• Posts on any categories would be counted.
• POSTS WITH LIVE LINKS ON IT WOULD NOT BE COUNTED.If you need to post a link, post it as code.
• All posts must be meaningful. Yes, no, good, bad, nice post these type of short answers would not be counted. Do not just post to make a post; doing so would bring down your total quality factor and you would actually hurt your points doing that.
• New threads, replies to posts all counts.
  
• Each new thread worth 4 points. Each reply worth 3 points. Each post your referred members make you get 2 points.
• Posts from referred members during the contest period would be counted--previously referred members would not be counted.
• Quality of posts is a major factor getting better points. If your posts have lower quality you may get less points per posts. We have a script to calculate points, that also measures the quality of posts in different ways.
• Winners will be declared and paid within 2 days after the contest ends.
• Minimum 170 posts (threads and posts any) during the contest period.
• One account per person; meaning one person can win only one prize. If we find any proof that a person made multiple accounts and have won multiple prizes, we would give the prizes to the next person in points order.
• Payments would be made via PayPal only.

We would publish the points ladderboard once in the middle of the contest.

We encourage you get your friends join us. That way you have better chances to win the contest. You can use marketing methods e.g. posting your personal referral link on your signatures at other forums.

how exactly can a script see a posts quality? well anyways, I do hope that people will actually consider posting quality, non repetitive posts and threads.
