Minimum Post Requirements to Post Links

We have set a minimum post requirements of 10 for members to do any of these actions:

• post links
• emails
• PM others
• create social groups
• post messages to social groups.

If your post count is >= 10 and you experience any problem performing the actions mentioned above, feel free to post here.

I meant before a new member can post a link, or send PM etc, they must make at least 5 posts on the forum.

This is mainly intended to prevent spams. As we have seen some spammers sign up and then posts same post with lot of links. This will prevent this situation.

I think you should increase it to minimum 15 posts. 5 is too less and anybody can do it for doing spamming. What you think Manik?

exactly i seen more spammer i think min 15 post is great idea for that....

The problem is, a lot of spammers just post 'thx for info' in threads, which makes it pretty easy for them to rack up a lot of posts.

15 probably is little too high. We dont wanna scare away good people who just wanna be part of the member. Spammers would never try to spend time doing some posts just to pass the minimum I think.

Lets see how it goes first. If doesn't work, then we can change it.

So far its working great. I think we should set a minimum of 5 posts to have signatures

I think it will be better to add this 5 post restriction to use signature also.
Or you can just make the signature link no-follow till the poster have <5 posts.

yes this is a good move. I guess you can share this mod in the forum section. I am really in the need of this mod.

spammers somehow find ways anyways. they seem to drop the domain names now!

I have another question, is there any requirement other than 5 posts to make post in Bye Sell, Trade section?
