$50 is good amount for good VPS. I do not think that worth to try to apply for the dedicated severs at all. Better have a look at VPS. Bodhost.com is one of the best VPS providers. Being specialized in VPS only they will be able to drive the best quality to you

I think if webcs company has offered to use their VPS at first free month - that's very good.
Any web master is able to test them for the whole month freely.
And than it would clear to use them or not.

They will probably be alright on reliability but I cant see them being very powerful more like a VPS than a true dedi
