Thread: Social media site submission tips

If you are gonna promote your site to social media sites, its better you first understand the nature of the users who are using those sites.

These are things to avoid as you submit to social media sites:

- Don't create multiple accounts just so you can vote your stories to the home page. Its spamming, sort of. Its just matter of time you would get caught, and your site probably would get banned.

- Don't try to get votes from forums and such places. Or even worst don't try to buy votes. Lot of people got banned doing such kind of things.

- If you tag your links being more specific is always better then less specific. Tag your links like long-tail keywords. Fewer people search for long-tail and fewer companies compete for them, but they bring in higher conversion rates. Remember the tags you make would be picked up by all kind of search engines, including the major one. So you may wanna try to maximize the output from your taggings.

Excuse me Manik, Can I ask a question regarding social media sites and when it comes to social networking sites that offer blog postings? Does Blog posts in social networking sites are form of social media?

ya you are righ if you are tring to spam on any site, then site surely banned you. don't try to get submit more than one link.
