Facebook Vs. linkedin network
Sometimes I think, trends in Social Media change even faster than technology. At least lot seem to change since the last two OCC Meets on the subject.Would you engage with CXO dialogues in B2B space over Facebook? Thanks!Sometime back we had this understanding / implicit code: Facebook - Personal
LinkedIn - Professional
Twitter - In between
But recently I am seeing Facebook being used for focused professional objectives, engagements as well.

Linked In is more professional, business like. You say Facebook is now being used professional, which is correct, although I think businesses who use facebook have to adopt a different style of interaction than what they would use on Linked In - Facebook is more laid back, more social.

Since Facebook ranks right under Google as one of the most visited sites on the internet it is only a natural progression that Facebook is now used by professionals. Advertising is a big market on Facebook and marketing professionals know this. If you look at those ad spots on Facebook you see companies and products. Linkedin has recently made some updates to try to mark its network as a social media platform as well. But, overall any social media site is now a tool for marketing.
