Today one of my friend inform me , facebook is going to close on 15 march 2012.

is this true ?

Yes I have read some places facebook is going to close but it is unbelievable.

I must say that these type of rumors come from the competitors and even sometimes companies itself just to figure out their credibility among users.

It will, but not in the near future, though. I don't think it's in a state of decline as of the moment. A lot more people are joining Facebook, and a lot are using it to their advantage for promotion and all that. One more thing: I've read that a dozen times before. If I remember correctly, there's even this rumor that Facebook's going to be a paid social network which would require users to pay Facebook before actually using anything in it. I'm not sure about this, guys. My memory's kinda blurry. Anyway, don't believe any rumor out there unless Mark Zuckerburg himself makes a move.
