SENIOR WEBMASTER
Great British Chefs is looking for an experienced webmaster to own the full life cycle of development of websites and maintenance of existing ones. This will include: application design, development, deployment and documentation. This is an exciting position for the right individual with a creative and dedicated approach. A challenging role for a young enthusiastic passionate person who is excited about being in a startup environment
Key Roles of the Job
Maintenance
Maintaining current websites with daily changes and requirements coming in from Marketing for offers etc., roughly 20% of the job role.
Programming and Development
Coding requirements for new functionality that is mapped out for a 3 weekly sprint cycle. This will require using HTML mockups and requirements programmed into features on web applications, rough 50-70% of the job role.
Server Maintenance and Release Engineering
Websites are hosted on Microsoft Azure so most activities are taken care by the hosted services, however some daily/weekly activities will need to be performed, this will probably take up 10% of the role. And similarly for the release engineering activities that would probably involve deploying new code as and when required. And maintaining source code control.
Experience
Experience delivering a substantial (or equivalent) consumer website with e-commerce functionality
Experience in day-to-day maintenance of CMS based consumer websites.
Experience in working with marketing teams to deliver key online features



Skills desired
Being able to be solely responsible for everything entailing GreatBritishChefs.com
Developing high quality Javascript, HTML, and CSS
Implement, customize and manage CMS/e-commerce sites as well as amend and enhance current sites.
Ownership of multiple web projects from concept through completion
Working directly with Marketing team to deliver key online features
Ability to work in a dynamic, progressive and challenging environment.
Optimization and maintenance of website content
Used to working to tight deadlines with high attention to detail; not get frustrated by constantly changing requirements
Ability to quickly learn new skills e.g. database maintenance etc
Proven problem solving skills and driven by a desire to find a smart solution
A hands-on person who is very delivery driven and goes the extra mile to get things done
An excellent communicator able to influence senior stakeholders within the business
To drive best practice across all systems and keep documentation up to date
Interest in social media trends and tablet / phone applications
Useful to have
Knowledge of Kentico CMS would be a big plus.
Knowledge of minimum DBA responsibilities; not a must have but will definitely help to have.


Qualifications
Educated to degree level in computer science, software engineering, or similar
4-5 years commercial experience developing and delivering solutions (high level HTML, CSS and JavaScript solutions, ASP.NET) for significant brand clients
