linking to multiple web 2.0 website to each other and also to money website is called link wheel

is it a white hat technique or a grey hat?

Link wheel as the name specofies, its a wheel of similar links, eg if we have a site A & we made a blog B, we connect A-->B by submitting our url to blog & again we submit the blog link to squidoo lens & again the squidoo lens submit to hub pages, as this creates a wheel, so i think its link wheel.

As per my knowledge and experience Link wheel is a link building strategy using the power of web 2.0 properties linking together by means of an article, images, or Press release or a combination of all.

Link wheel is a set of websites linking to a single website, which in turn links to your targeting website./ This way link juice is passed to you in a more natural way. The downside is that you usually write articles on free portals, therefor giving some of the authority to them as well.

A link wheel basically is a process in which you build a dozen or so new blogs/web pages using web 2.0 properties such as squidoo, blogger, hubpages and etc, all on the same topic as your main blog or website. Then, on each of these mini sites, you write one unique quality article that includes a link to your main website or blog and another link to one of the other new blogs you just built.
