    In order to have good rankings on SERP and PR, you have to get back links.. So both are related!..

    Both SERP and PR are based on the amount of quality of back links that you are getting!.. If you have high PR then people (website owner) will exchange links with you.. Then you have higher chances of getting into top positions on SERP..
