Thread: Google new PR Update

I hope most of us had felt the changes on our PR from last 23-Jun-2009.
There are happy cases(PR Increment) as well as sad cases (PR decrement) too. I have got PR4 from PR0, that is really awesome. One of the reason may be, That is a new site and I hve huge backlinks to that site. However, When I have checked some old site, I have noticed that PR has decreased, Specially, check pr of this forum.....However, What are the factors which determine the value of PR?
1. Unique Content
2. More Backlinks (Quality ones, NO SPAMMY sources)
3. Age

Is there anything else which determine PR of a page?

Quality content, good backlinks are two keys for sure.

Absolutely true.. These factors generally affect your Page Rank value.. And talking about quality, it means that you must submit your site relevant to it!..

I think best way is quality back links and content also help for increasing PR if you collect some high PR quality back links chances increases for getting PR!!!

PR get update on basis of Backlinks most of time and we need to update site content every time.

Good webmaster gets good results. In this situation this is high PR.

Here are the factors that affect page rank:

1. Quality Content - update it regularly..
2. On-Page Optimization - deals with the proper use of ha/h2 tags, meta tags, description and keywords..
3. Off-Page Optimization- deals with building links [article & directory submissions, social bookmarking, blog commenting, etc..]

Quality and relevancy of backlinks is an important factor for PR. But anyways, Google is updating the PR very frequently and thats the major concern for me. I have noticed 3 PR updates in the last 3 months and which is very frequent. So i think that there are osme major changes going on in Google.

For good PageRank, we just have to have good PR backlinks from the relevant websites.

Pr is Always based on Back links, Just some times its matter of age too but then when you are having good traffic on that site
