I use Yahoo but some times use Google webmaster tools for checking back links of my web site.

SEO Spyglass, Yahoo Explorer or bluebacklinks.com are the best sources to view backlinks.

Google It doesn't give yours an accurate number but who really cares I justice want to see the number go up Yahoo can give yours more accurate numbers but those backlinks may not be high-low-jack valued by Google,

If you just want to know the number of backlinks and where they come from then Google or Yahoo search is the best option. You can also use Yahoo SEO toolbar. There you can see the the links of Yahoo, Google etc.

I use two backlink checker. one of it is backlinkswatch.com and the other one is on seoserp.com

Well Yahoo site explorer,Backlinkwatch.com to check site backlinks.and also you can manually check backlinks to your site.i.e.
link:site URL type this in Google search box, than you will see backlinks of your site on Google.
