Added tip:
Before doing link building techniques, I suggest that you should organize your meta data properly.

For meta title: Click here.
For meta description: 150 or less characters will do.
For meta keywords: 15 or less keywords will do. Too many keywords in your meta keywords can possibly hurts you and it will lessen the effect of your most important keywords in a SERP. In result, you're going to have a hard time ranking high on those keywords if you have a high number of keywords in your meta keywords.

Post on your Twitter account your domain, I know twitter uses tiny-url domains but it's 301 redirect

Which is not easy to do and not advisable for me unless you really can write extra good content that can catch the attention of the digg community.

These points are really very effective and helpful in getting faster indexing and easy visibility in search engine result pages.

Yes agree pointers are proven.. but better do all those techniques if you have at least 5 post for blog this requirement is just self basis.

I want to share my point of view about social bookmarking which is included in mit's list. We should post in high pr social bookmarking sites. If a sb has high pr, it only means that search engines crawl it regularly, and for that reason, your post has a higher chance of being indexed.
