Thread: PR0 but second in google.. ?

When searching for "dofollow blogs", I came accross with whydowork.com's lists. The page has PR0 but why it is placed on number 2 of google?

the site has pr 3. i think pr is not much of a big contributor for serps.

This page deserve the ranking, have you seen they have 631 readers by Feedburner and every nicely designed page according applying SEO constraints.

Content has also been the greatest factor for rankings. If you have relevant content with the targeted keywords, and nice backlinks, it surely help achieving good rankings within short time.

well, the blog had a PR 3 but that page only had PR0. it must mean that there are lots of links linking to that page, a lot of people may have liked the content and copied it and left a linkback to that page.

It really deserves to rank high in search result because of its quality and useful content. I think many sites find this post very useful that's why it has gained natural backlinks.

This is really a good example of why we should not get crazy for PR

My wifes forum is #4 out of 10,800,000 results and with a page rank of 0.

My sons forum is #4 out of 3,270,000 results and with a page rank of 0.

My forum is #1 out of 633,000 results and with a page rank of 3.

PR is something the people at google invented to give web site owners something to talk about.

The site has great content and it has good traffic as well, its not too much of a surprise.

Just having PR is not all in getting rankings in the search engine result pages the other factors are also in consideration and the major one is content.

Basically if the page information is useful and interesting to visitors, it will definitely comes in good rankings.

If the content of the website is informative and liked by people then it generate many backlinks automatically.

Yeah! useful content always be appreciated by the visitors and in this way, they also promote it as they like it.

PR had no relevant with your site position in google.
