Here is another silly question. What is Google pr? Is it important?

that depends really. but in general its important, since it kind of demonstrates the authority of a site. so I would say it helps attract people.

PR is how well your site ranks in Googles search engine, and theres a lot of information on it on wikipedia.

Google describes PageRank:
"PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page's value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves "important" weigh more heavily and help to make other pages "important".

This is just the strength for any website page set by Google and it is not so important. Important is relevant traffic and visibility of website in top result pages of search engine.

I say its only one, not number one, of the things I want to achieve for my websites.

Pagerank is useless it is more of a eyecandy lol

don't go on any website by PR ......

Alexa is much better ........

If you have a good PR for your site, then it's really be useful in many manners..ie in link exchange, sell links etc.

there is NO USE of PR in terms of search rankings seo and all..

I bet your new to this eh? search in Google manipulate alexa ranking. It's considered by most webmaster/seo a worthless ranking system.

they will say it is worthless i am reminding you ask in GOOD WB forums

They will say alexa is better than google...
