    What is Do follow ?
Dofollow Link is a hyperlink that is able to tell all search engines to pass along it’s page rank influence to an outbound link.

If you will use or get do follow links then search engines will count your link in the eyes of google, yahoo, bing etc as backlink for your site and you can get some positive value for your site ranking.
    Example,
    Dofollow Link= < a href=”http://inproblog.com”>

    What is Nofollow Link?
Nofollow Link is exactly the opposite. It is a hyperlink that removes the ability to pass on it’s page rank status to other sites.
Nofollow are for not crawling a link by search engine that influence the ranking of a particular website or blog in search engines.
    Example,
    Nofollow Link= <a rel=”nofollow” href=”http://xyz.com”>

    Or <a href=”xyz.com” rel=”nofollow”>xyz</a>

How do “Dofollow” and “Nofollow” Links Work?
If you are optimizing your blog or website for search engines you have to get as many links pointing to your website as possible. Dofollow and Nofollow are two important factors among many SEO Ranking Factors.

    How Search Engines Use

Never adhered to NoFollow. It’s not a search engine anymore.
    Google:
They looks NoFollow links but simply does not pass on Google Page Rank to an outbound link that is tagged with the value.
    Bing:
Bing may not follow NoFollow link, but it does exclude it from ranking calculations.
    Yahoo:
Yahoo follows NoFollow links & excludes the link from all ranking calculations.

    Hi,
in the seo process both no follow and do follow links matter :
do follow count as back link to the site from search engine. It's important for site ranking to get quality back links.
no follow doesn't count as back link to the site from search engine but it can be helpful as an traffic generate source if it's come from high pr sites.

Do-follow links are best for ranking of any keyword because those website which are giving do-follow link, Google sees but no-follow link Google never see but these type of links better for traffic.

Yes it is true that Google count do follow links however no follow links are also important for increasing traffic because there are plenty of high rank sites like facebook, delicious, google+ are no follow sites but these sites very helpful for enhancing traffic.

The major difference between NoFollow and DoFollow is in the case of Nofollow link Google not follow this link and also not given any weightage to the same link.

    - No follow links are good for traffic however if you are intended to focus on the SERP ranking of your site you must focus on do follow links because it can help you to create links.
