As per my opinion I would like suggest to you Directory submission and Forum Posting method it's worth.

It's not declaring best method in SEO. All the methods are equally important if you do it right. You can also add
Press release submission
Blog Posting
Guest blog posting
Q & A sites
Social Media optimization
to this list..

Since you're asking about my best method, I'd say that I'm a lot more comfortable with both blog commenting and forum posting with value. If you're going to ask us which is THE absolute best method, then Yesceeohhh's answer would be right. All of those methods are equally important if you execute them right. You shouldn't ignore any of the methods that you and Yesceeohhh have mentioned because they'll all be beneficial for your site if you've used those methods in the right way.

All of the methods are equally important in SEO. I prefer forum posting, blog commenting and article submission. This gives backlink and also help to get traffic on site.

Seo is changes,you should focus on some quality sites,Link popularity is good and you can increase with social bookmarking or blog commenting..

All method is best which you defined but it like to use forum posting, bookmarking, and article submission. These three tactics are very helpful to generate huge traffic and also provide back links on your website.

I think that article posting is an best method but this should be a fresh idea for your content. Article spinning is wrong method that is not really helpful
