Thread: Why only Google for SEO?

Many search engines are available in on the web but most of the webmasters are using Google. I want to know that why webmasters are emphasizing on Google for doing SEO and why not other search engines? And, how they do SEO effectively only in Google and get the result?

If we talk about Google, Google has more number of users as compared to other search engines and if we promote the website according to Google than we by default get the good ranking in other search engines.

simplly because google have more than 80% of total search market .this is simple and straight reason

Most of the people rely on Google for searching purpose and more traffic is grabbed from that. It's the one and only main reason of Google.

Google is preferred world wide by the users and because of it's services and features, it is always given first preference, Google keep updating their algorithm for better search results because of which the users get relevant results for their queries which is one of the most important factor for Googles popularity.

Although Bing and Yahoo use different alorithms to Google, they are not that different. As has already been mentioned, it is logical to optimize for Google because it is the dominant SE, and by doing so you will (in most cases) also be optimizing for other SE's.

Google is one of the most dominant search engine with more then 90% of Search engine Volume! So it is quite effective and useful way to optimize your site for Google.

we use google for seo because most of the peoples are using google for search any terms.

I would say that most people only use Google these days, although my sites do get the occasional hit from Yahoo or Bing.

Google serves the biggest percentage of daily user search in the entire world, meaning getting ranked on Google will somehow send you good traffic and conversions.
Google has strict SEO guidelines and easy to use interface is added advantage

But then there are certain countries where Google is not-so-popular(china, japan..) and hence we cannot conclude that Google is the god of all.

It's because most people are using Google when doing online search but that doesn't mean that other search engines are insignificant. We just set Google as priority when doing SEO beacause it's the number 1 search engine base on the number of people using it.

I think the easiest answer is that, Google is a giant SE. and i have seen that if you just submit your site to any SE and work for only Google then automatically your site will also be ranked in the other Search Engines too. cause most of the things in all of the SE are same.
