Hosting has to do with rankings,
- If you are switching to a fast host, it improves user experience of the website and thus rankings
- Location of your host influence your rankings in case of geo targeting
Hosting everything with one great hosting company should be okay...But there are people who think its safe to host diff landing pages with diff accounts.230% more traffic with 12+ Keyword research tools

I was told you can have as many sites with one hosting company and one IP address. All my sites rank and that is how I do it with GoDaddy. I hear some people change IP's but I was told by a GoDaddy God that it simply does not matter. Google worries about links and content, not hosting.

No, not really.
The only things that will affect is if the IP is blacklisted and is if the hosting provider is located in a different country. Search engines us geographical areas to determine which country they do business in.
