In india and Brazil orkut is very popular but which is more secure orkut or facebook I think However, it depends on person to person how they are using them.Orkut looks somewhat unfinished. Facebook's mini feed feature is useful in seeing a quick snapshot on the latest happenings within your network. The ease at which you can customize layouts within FaceBook, especially the drag and drop option.

and Facebook is more secure to orkut we can set many login privacy in face book such as using secure code every time on mobile and set ask computer name when we set this type of security then facebook alway ask our computer name and send a sms on cell phone for login verification
Both orkut and facebook has there own advantages and disadvantages. First in graphics and outlook, orkut is more attractive than facebook. Coming at the applications facebook has got interesting and rocking games like farmville, mafia attack, etc. In security facebook is more secure than orkut.

In my opinion, Facebook is better but not secure at present time.

According to BBC news http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/7918839.stm, it found couple of Facebook security issue. Orkut should be better, as it is powerd by Google, so far have not heard any security news.
