Bounce rate is the percentage of the visitors who only visits only one page of your site and leave the site without clicking on other pages. The lower bounce rate is good for your site but higher bounce rate indicates that your landing page is not relevant/useful to the searchers or your site content is not providing the relevant info.

Bounce rate is the percentage of single-page visits or visits in which the person left your site from the entrance (landing) page. Use this metric to measure visit quality - a high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance pages aren't relevant to your visitors. The more compelling your landing pages, the more visitors will stay on your site and convert. You can minimize bounce rates by tailoring landing pages to each keyword and ad that you run. Landing pages should provide the information and services that were promised in the ad copy.

It is a metric to analyze the user friendliness of the site or we can say the behavioral signals of the visitor.Bounce rate of under 35-40% is strong, while bounce rates of over 60-65% is a matter of concern

Bounce rate is an Internet marketing term used in the analysis of website traffic. Bounce rate is a term used to define visitors that arrive at a page on your website and then leave your site without accessing any other page on the website. On some pages, a high bounce rate may be acceptable e.g. in the case of certain landing pages that are designed specifically to promote a specific product or a page designed to fulfil a specific call to action. However in most cases, a high bounce rate indicates poor quality of traffic and has a negative impact on your website.
