keyword density mean total number of keywords repeated on page to the total words present
on that page.

It's formula is like x/y*100 where x is total no. of times that keyword is
repeated and y is total words present on that page.

For calculating for a keyword phrase it is x*z/y*100 here a and y are same while z
represent total no. of words in phrase.

Keyword density should not be more than 1 to 3 percent other wise it is considered as
spam

i think keyword density can be 3-5%.but it should not exceed 5%.

Well how "1% to 3% dear? Indeed, if we put it once it would not be a keyword. You are right if you meant "2% to 3% because the new Google Algorithm update would not tolerate more than that..

you are right here. When I submit articles to Best Article Directories Sooper Articles and Ezine etc they also recommend keyword density should not exceed 2 to 3 percent.
