Thread: How to increase our keyword ranking

Poker Tables- This keyword is ranking on the 2nd at google.com.au but I want to keep this keyword on the top, what should I do for it?

You can improve the keyword ranking through following methods:

1. Forum Posting
2. Directory Submission
3. Social Bookmarking
4. Article Submission

What did you do until now ?

Write keyword rich content,target that keyword on your page like meta tags etc and then build some quality backlinks and use your target keyword as anchor text.

It is good that your keyword is at the 2nd position. If you need 1st then you have to get analysis of the website of 1st rank for the keyword. Try to get analysis on the backlink and their resource. I hope these would help you.

Well If Your Keyword is present at number two and you want to take this at first position! You have to make competitor Analysis First! Try To Figure out Competitor Back links First! After Determine the Back links try to get back links from these site where your competitor are getting link backs!

The current ranking of your keyword is on the 2nd page of Google, and if you want to get on 1st page first conduct a site analysis on your competitor's backlinks then apply a strategy to outrank them.

Correct. If you want your home page targeted though you will have to make sure your <h1> tag is your KW. also have in the title of your site. If you have a large site do internal linking as that works great. instead of putting "Home" on every page of your site change that to "poker tables" and point it to your home page. if you have a 50 page site you just created 50 internal back links to your home page.. Wikepedia alone ranks high fro hundreds of thousands of KW just on internal link building.

I'm not sure jf they mean 2nd position or 2nd page.

Just keep on working your backlinks and using your keywords as anchor text.

To increase your rank, build links from .com.au sites also do competitor backlink analysis and promote your site there.

Create more quality, unique and informative content..
Build more do follow and relevant backlinks..

Try to implement both onpage and offpage seo for your website...

Try to build more backlinks for that particular keyword from high PR article or directory sites.

Well my position is also same as thread writer and its not so till now what you have done will help you to come on 1st page as now have to be more specific and should generate only quality links else it can hurt even 2nd page position

First you have to do keyword analysis then promote of that different site like WDP forum, social network, blogs etc
