    Default Will making a 301 redirect affect ranking?

    I am in idea of redirecting non www version of my home page URL to www version. Will this affect my ranking in SERP?

    I think Yes Its affect in ranking but after some time its recover all the things.

    I have recently come across the same issue with one of my own websites. From a chat with my colleagues I believe separation can cause lost link value and hurt rankings for a page. If you find external links pointing to both the non-www and the www version, you should use a 301 re-write rule so that all pages point to the same URL.

    If you have done proper 301 redirection then you will see small effect on ranking and it will become to it's respective ranking in short period of time.

    No, it will not affect your rank...it is the best way to redirect a site.
