Do you prefer blogs or forums?

I wanted to start a discussion about your preferences about using blogs or forums. I prefer both for different goals.

I like blogs for gaining manual back links through commenting and guest posts. I also like forums as a way to connect with other people in related niches which helps build authority, credibility and find and share ideas and thoughts. They are both very useful sources of back links and provided the replies and comments you leave are useful and on the subject in question then they can also be a great source of direct traffic too. The main thing with both blog commenting and forum posting is that they work best if done regularly and for the long term.

If you want to get the best quality backlinks then you have more opportunity with blogs as generally these pages seem to get higher page rank than forums but you have to find blogs that allow comments containling your backlinks. If you want to pick up tips & tricks then forums are good as you can post links and learn at the same time.

I use both but Is you ask for one than i will go with Forum Discussion because forums sites regular crawled by search engine crawlers and we can get better results from forums a s compared to blogs.

One can't deny the fact that Which one is more powerful as a link building strategy..!!
Blog posting is a very step in this process but Blog Commenting is not a sure shot work to go for, as may or may not moderator will approve your comment.
If approved, derives a strong backlink to you..
Forum providing do follow signatures helps to back your website backlink strength along with the lots of info to learn and share..!!

I prefer both But I think forum is the better than blog because you make signature on the relevant and high PR forums directory and get more back links and do follow back links and get top ranking faster through forum posting. So I prefer to forums.

Blog is a very efficient process of getting a good detail for your keywords but less than the articles..
It is helpful in getting the valuable link weight to your site after posting the blogs and if

is considered, it must be done in the way to get approved by the moderator.
Forum on the other hand is an efficient way to get backlinks through the do-follow sign along with that it is a great place to get to the top of the search engines..!!
