Thread: Is Multiple 301 Redirections harm your Website ?

hello folks.

I have a question Is multiple 301 redirection harm your website? I Was thinking about this question since last couple of days.because when I have migrated my forums from one place to other place, in result there are multiple redirection shown. so if anyone knows about in detail please share your opinions.

No 301 redirection doesn't harm your site instead in some time it will pass link juice to your new redirected website.

301 redirect is SEO friendly redirect and it doesn't harm you site. But check it after implementing 301 redirect with redirect checking tools.

Matt Cutts clearly said that you can have as many 301 redirects as you want without harming your website.

What you should avoid is having successive hops (redirect from page A to page B, then from page B to page C, then page C to page D )
