It has nothing to do with if you have alexa spyware bar installed. Its the poor souls that visit your site that have the alexa spyware bar installed.

And yes, I am taking this personal. The webmaster community has lost a lot of its ethics and morals. When website owners promote spyware to check their "rankings" - something is wrong.

A few years ago Alexa was some of the worst spyware / malware you could get on your system. It would start downloading and installing all kinds of junk, such as "when you save." The program was difficult to remove, ran pop-ups, crashed internet explorer. But for some reason, its now ok for people to have spyware installed?

I dont care what the malware / spyware is called, or "where" its installed, it is unethical to promote this kind of activity.

Some people do not recognize alexa much.
    They focus more on PR.
    Ranking in alexa is different.

In Alexa, if you have 100,00 as rank, it means you have a high traffic in your site. the lower the numbers on alexa, the higher your rank is. Highest is 1.

i think alexa is just a ranking representation of your site traffic, your ranking can change every time people visits your website....

It means more traffic, and more website traffic means more online income for website owners..

And I guess Alexa is much better to stay focus on than PR.
