Thread: Duplicate content effect on a website?

I have a website abc.com if one of my competitor makes a web site ab.com and copied my all images and content in same manner as my site. What will the effect of it on my website and his website?

Your competitor site will be effected because he copied your content.

It won't affect the original website rankings at all. And even if you finds someone who has copied the content, you can report it directly to Google.

Duplicate content gives the spamming to the websites.

I think it won't effect on original site.I think you should do DMCA.It help with copy content,images,website and more.The heightens the penalty for copyright infringement on the internet.

It all depends on the age and reputation of the websites. If abc.com was there before ab.com, then obviously ab.com will quickly see sluggish if any progress in search engine ranking. abc.com won't be affected much, if any.

Duplicate contents in a web can't last for a long time. you can complain to Google about this issue and then they will take action.

Duplicate content effects a lot on the website because google don't like the duplicacy and can punish you for this.
