Search engine marketing, or SEM, is a form of Internet marketing that seeks to promote websites by increasing their visibility in search engine result pages (SERPs).

SEM is basically paid marketing on search engine like google adwords while SMO means to promote your site socially on social network site like facebook, twitter and more....

In SMO you marketing your website on social networking sites while in SEM you have to pay for your website marketing.

There are two completely different things. One is for marketing and another is for ranking.

Smo is basically used for increasing of traffic and SEM strategy and planning is all about creating a niche in highly complex online market place.The feasibility of any campaign is decided with its modular approach consisting the objective analysis and audience segmentation.

SEO, Search Engine Operation is generally related to web pages, its helps to increase the traffic or hits on page and helps to increase the ranking of the website. SEM, Search Engine Marketing is basically paid one which helps to promote the things by advertising and all.

SEM (search engine marketing) it is paid services buy google you can get through conversiona and traffic and smo (social media optimization) is hight pr social sites where we can share our products,events etc like:facebook,twitter and myspace
