Friends, what is micro blogging??? How it differs from other blogging/techniques
i am expecting the details regarding micro blogging. If any of you know about this technique, kindly share with us.

Microblogging is a broadcast medium in the form of blogging. A microblog differs from a traditional blog in that its content is typically smaller in both actual and aggregate file size. Microblogs "allow users to exchange small elements of content such as short sentences, individual images, or video links".

Micro Blogging is a form of multimedia blogging that allows users to send brief text updates or micromedia such as photos or audio clips and publish them. Some micro-blogging platform have limits as to the maximum number of characters per post.

Twitter for example limits you to 140 characters per tweet. Because of this limitation, many long URLs in posts are shorten using URL shorteners such as bit.ly.
Both bloggers and micro-bloggers have a variety of third party software or plug-ins for their browsers to simplify the process.

A blog and microblog are somewhat the same just with minor differences
-Microblog is shorter than a blog
-Microblogs update faster while blogs update slowly
-Microblogs are more user friendly (addressability)
-Blogs have avatar as the identity while microblogging you provide URL to the subscribing user's own microblogging site

If this user already has a twitter account, which might be impossible if he doesn't, then he knows what microblogging is already and just trying to pop up an unnecessary question to make those links in his signature stick at the top of this thread.

Microblogging sites are similar to sms. They support only 160 characters. Twitter is a best example of micro blogging site.
