Thread: Overall traffic down?

The last 2 or 3 days overall traffic to almost all of my sites is way down (about half of what it was previously).

Has anyone else noticed anything like this? Whatever it is, I hope it resolves soon!

You should check your traffic stats and see which of your referrers has dropped down. If is a search engine such as Google, then it seems like your pages got down on Search Engine Results pages (SERPS)

traffic is never be stable its up and down. try to make your strong profile in networking and article sites.

Are your rankings also getting affected or is it only the traffic?

Foremost reason can be stale content. Panda’s new update rolled out on 28 September 2011.
Google declined to share any specifics about what types of sites, pages or content this update targeted, it only shared the company’s default statement of returning high-quality sites to Google users.
So maybe your ranking has dropped due to stale content. Check for duplicate content on your website and update it with relevant content.
Check for quality of backlinks. If you have backlinks from junk and low quality websites, Google might have devalued them.

Check your Google Analytics account and pin point those keywords and pages for which traffic has dropped.I would suggest you to track your keywords using Google analytics since it will help you give a complete report of keywords due to which your traffic dropped.

Spy on your competitors for their optimization strategies.
Either you are not working consistently or your competitors are working really hard.

Your keyword ranking in search engine's SERP may have dropped. This can be a reason for drop of traffic.

I think you should update content of your site regularly if possible and try to continue promoting that. Sometimes it can down but don't worry about this shorten down.
