-Write content that is deliberately designed to attract audience towards it .
-Optimize your Title tags by placing target keyword in the title
-Use of well-researched keywords
-Good Internal linking structure
-Optimize your Page loading speed ( not more than 4 sec )
-Optimize your Meta tags ( alt, header tags)
-Video and image optimization

Off page is what you do to promote your website ( socializing and promoting it on different channels )
-Get quality backlinks
-Publish your content on social networking websites and leave your website link
-Video marketing
-List in niche directories
-Promote your website on social bookmarking sites
-Write emails to other bloggers/ website owners in your niche offering them to guest post
-Participate in Forums and communities
-Submit RSS feed to directories
-Do blogging, guest blogging and blog commenting

Blog commenting is very useful if you get the right blogs to comment on. I usually do blog commenting as it helps me boost traffic and search rankings and with “keyword country” as my partner, I am able to find influential niche related blogs very easily.

All these techniques will help you in improving your SERP rankings and hence organic traffic.
