Thread: Why does Google PageRank fluctuates?

The PageRank is different for the same webpage, when I checked on two different computers. One computer is showing X pagerank while another computer is showing Y pagerank for the same webpage.

There is no way that the data base is retrieving from two different Google datacenters, because, I am operating this in my office. But we have different internet providers. Is that a reason, Please help me out from this.

its a dynamic thing. if you change a simple thing in your website then you will get great change in your website. so check it out carefully.

I have never heard of fluctuating pagerank? SERPs “do“ vary from browser to browser or location to location but Pagerank can never differ for the same webpage. Pagerank is independent of browsers or ISPs.
You haven’t mentioned the tool you are using for calculating Pagerank. You might be using a buggy tool which is showing you a wrong pagerank.
Pagerank (PR) can be checked using Google PR toolbar checker.

There's a simple explanation why it seems like you saw two different PageRank for the same webpage. It's not that PR fluctuates, it's just your add-on toolbar that you are using to check for PR that sometimes get bugged.

The real page rank that Google keeps we will never know,unless they release that info. The only way to get some sort of a reference is by using a rank checking tool. I like to use SEO Book as a tool. There many to choose from,but that is one I like to use.
