No follow link that is included on a webpage using standard html markup but also include a attribute to prevent passing link juices. This link is not improve the link target search engine ranking. The no follow means the search engine are not given enough weight to that link.

Google does crawl a no-follow link but such a link does not pass any backlinking credit to you. It may, however, bring streams of referral traffic!

No follow links don't have link juice but Google crawls it. It doesn't add credit to your backlinking.

I think nofollow is also important for getting traffic.

Well, in my experience nofollow links do help in rankings. It is a quite interesting matter in which I am looking into and experimenting, but until now, I saw that nofollow links do get crawled by google, thus google your website as well will get crawled. As frequently as your website is crawled the better. I can't give any proof, that nofollow links do help in rankings, but this is my experience. If someone can give me some more info on it, whether why am I right or why am I wrong, it will be appreciated.

I've never seen any negative effects of NoFollow links. I did a little experiment where I used only NoFollow links as backlinks and I ranked and everything normal that you would expect happened. I had to have more links linking back, however but it wasn't a huge amount. It was around 20 - 30 more links.

Google sees nofollow links, I've even seen links of nofollow logged in my sites' google webmaster account. So, it sees the kind of link, but to ask if it passes value of PR to your site or pages, that is something only G knows. But it is a good idea though to mix things up and not only focus your link building to dofollow submissions. As other webmasters would note, having your campaign one side would make it really appear one sided, so if you don't want search engines to treat it as one side, create links from both dofollow and nofollow nature.

No Follow links is like you will tell to the robots not to crawl that link because of its "rel-nofollow" but somehow it will gives you credit for lot of traffics.

Nofollow, as mentioned above, is crawled, but doesn't pass any pagerank. Nofollow doesn't mean it's bad, just means you need to establish yourself within a community and build on relationships.

When it comes to link building, you should have an evenly amount of nofollow and dofollow links. If most of your links are dofollow, its going to look suspicious. Just because Google doesn't count them, doesn't mean they aren't keeping track of them. Your links need to have balance and flow.

I agree with you there. Usually best thing is to get dofollow and nofollow links as well. Sometimes I found that a nofollow link from an authority website means a lot more than a dofollow link from a high PR website. From a ranking point of view obviously!
