Thread: How to protect Whois and Google SEO?

I know that Google and the other SEs do take a lot of time into account the Whois Information to find more about websites and can ranking them could have some inclusion of the whois data. If we protect whois information using whois guard, what will be impact on SERPs or website in general as google and SE's won't be able to get the whois data for a domain. I think that protecting whois can help a domain to be safe from some kind of troubles arising due to some bad SEO techniques. What do you feel about it?

Definitely protecting a domain name from Whois search is not going to affect much in SERP from Google. I got free domain privacy on domain registration from www.WhoisXY.com . Still my website ranks well in SERP.

Domain ID Protect is a feature which will hide your identity and will keep it private. You can order this service when registering the domain from your domain registrar. Whenever, a WHOIS check is performed against your domain, it will hide your identity. This includes your Name, Organization info, Address, Contact Details, etc.

Well, nothing has been clear on this context, having privacy feature turned on whois is fine, Google will not penalized your website for that (my personal view).
