tell me something about grey hat techniques. which techniques can be called grey hat?

The following tactics fall in the Grey area between legitimate tactics and search engine spam. They include tactics such as cloaking, paid links duplicate content and a number of others. Unless you are on the correct side of this equation these tactics are not recommended.

Even if the search engines cannot detect these tactics when they are used as spam, your competitors will undoubtedly be on the lookout and report your site to the engines in order to eliminate you from the competition.

Grey hat technique is the combination of white hat and black hat technique. As per my knowledge it is good to get the high PR fast but it is not safe. So don't use Grey hat technique for safety of your site.

When we use the black hat technique and white hat technique together this is called the white hat seo.

Gray hat seo is some thing that falls in between white hat seo and black hat seo. It is like cat on the wall. It is better to stay on the safer side. You may get penalized by search engines for using gray hat seo.

Grey hat techniques is questionable SEO techniques but not in the same category as black hat SEO techniques.

This is a combination of black hat SEO and white hat SEO techniques.this approach is less likely to be penaltized by Google black hat SEO techniques, but is not as good as the white hat SEO.

Websites involved in gray hat marketing may face penalties, however they may be safe from ban.

it is always important that you just save yourself from search engines penalty. but some gray hat techniques are, i saw, very beneficial for your site.
