Yes, article marketing can boost your traffic, but only in case it is done with common sense and has at least some quality.
I like to read unique stuff written in an interesting, smart way. I am sure everyone does. I am not against rewriting articles, if they are done wisely and if they are really rewritten. Not just automated replacements with synonyms. I am not an article writer but I wouldn't use those automated tools if I were one. Or at least I would learn to use them properly.
I think all of us have already encountered articles with mumbling that just makes no sense. It is inevitable. The internet is full of them.
But the worst thing is when people are writing about outdated stuff as if it would be the latest discovery, things they have little or no knowledge about, and even what they think they know, is in fact wrong.
Research is a must for article writers, but unfortunately many of them are solely interested in the benefits generated (backlink, traffic).
