Maxiie - Sorry your thought process is wrong. They are called "no-follow" and therefore Google will NOT follow and index those links.
You use no-follow links on your page if you want links on it but maybe they're not trusted or you do not want to watch your Page Rank leak away. Most blog comments are no-follow set up that way because of SPAM.
And yes, they are still considered backlinks. Other search engines (yahoo, bing, etc) will ignore the no-follow attribute as its a google thing only. A backlink is still a backlink and all backlinks will help you in one way or another.
There really is no such thing as a "do-follow" link. All this means is that no-follow isn't attched to the link. All links are "do-follow" except those with the "no-follow" attribute attached to it.

no follow are links which are not followed by google. Some website add no follow attributes to links which means it will not be followed by google. They do this to protect themselves from spam

Do follow is a tag that is put on the link so that the bot does not pass any link juice to the page in question. Many times this is done on blog or other areas where the owner will receive a lot of spam and do not have the chance to check out all the sites that they are going to link to. Since they are no follow google will not index them as a link for you. The one good thing is that yahoo and bing will. The other thing about no follow is even though you are not getting link juice from them, they will still generate traffic which is just as good. Also when you are building links, you want a little of both. You want your links to look natural and having a mix of both is a great way to make sure that happens.

Do follow are links that allow you to improve your page rank.
No follow are links that don't allow you to improve your page rank.
Page rank is just a number, don't worry about it! You still gain SEO benefits from any link that is linking to your websites using your anchor text.Freeroll poker at our poker forum where you can discuss your hands and poker strategies.
