can you tell me what dofollow means?

Do follow means Google crawls your links that helps to increase traffic and rank of the specific set of keywords but No follow means Google does not crawl the link you have given.So, it does not help in getting good rank but some no follow links helps in getting traffic.

Actually do follow does not exist. If you know html you will understand it easily. Usually links are as follows

Code:

<a href="http://www.google.com/"> Google </a>

At this moment the link is do follow.

Now notice this

Code:

<a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.google.com/" > Google </a>

When Google bot comes to your site it sees that the link has nofollow attribute attached. So it will not pass on the page rank, but it will index it.

The point is when a link doesn't have rel="nofollow" attribute attached to it, it's unofficially called dofollow.

By the way rel="nofollow" is only used by Google.

This is very simple task. please try to understand my word. When you link your site to a do-follow site the html link code will be a regular anchor text html link. In the case of a no-follow the no follow html tag will be added within the link and you would not get a link back to your site from this site.
If you link your site to a do-follow site the search engines will acknowledge your link and you will get what is called a backlink to your site. If you link your site to a no-follow site the search engines will not acknowledge the link as a backlink to your site.
If you want to build backlinks to your site and get a higher PageRank you need to make sure that you are linking to do-follow sites, which includes most high ranking sites with a high PageRank and high authority.
If a "do follow" designation is made, Google will look at the link as a backlink to your targeted page. If a "no follow" designation is made, Google will not use it as a backlink to your target.

Yes you can say Crawl means visiting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_crawler.

I think its depends upon the webmaster which web page he wants not to be displayed in front of the user that is no follow links

Do-follow is term used by Google which link it has to crawl & index & which is not. Google always count do- follow links,

DoFollow means traffic + Increase PR + Quality Backlink.

Do follow link will allow search engine to follow them and to reach on website, in that way it provide the back links to the website.

Dofollow means follow the link and consider the link as back link to certain keywords to certain website. Google index only dofollow links in SERP.
