Lets talk about Sitemaps and SEO
Public could not stop chatting about sitemaps for some motivation. Does having a sitemap for a website matter at all? Anybody could explain? Is it beneficial for a website to in fact have one? I heard that sitemaps could relieve website navigation for guests, and if so I would absolutely be concerned in having one of my own. Recently I have been setting up to start on my own website, and I want to start on it with as little hitches as possible. Can anyone tell me any other advantages or disadvantages to having a sitemap on a website? Could you? I would really be grateful for any effort you could give.

A sitemap is just to tell the search engines of parts of your site it may not discover on it's own. Nothing more, nothing less.

depending on the type of sitemap you mean
HTML sitemaps are intended mainly for users, but search engines also value it
XML sitemaps are intended for search engines only to give them a bit more information and URLs to pages that might not be linked from anywhere else

Do you like bots to index all you pages whenever bots indexed one of your site's page? Do you want your site become user friendly? If you answered yes in any of these questions, then you should add sitemap.

Yes, both XML and user sitemaps are really important to your website,
* XML sitemap inform the SE bots about the pages that are ready to index.
* User sitemaps are helpful in reducing the complexity of website. They are useful in guiding the guest with the navigational link to all pages.
