Guys I have just launched a health and information forum. Now I want to promote this forum. I am already working as an SEO expert in some internet marketing firm, but promoting a forum is one of the new jobs for me. It would be better if you promote it in various forums and build your good reputation. Because if they find out that you have a good reputation then they might encourage to join in your forums. Another option is create a games with having a prices, it will surely create a buzz.

In my own experiences, social media would be the best channel for promoting a new site or forum since you would receive huge direct traffic in the way. Also, niche relative forums, press releasing would be other nice methods for this purpose.
