I think, he explained it in a good way and simple words. Usually we can see good analysis of our bounce rate of site through Google analytics and other stat counters. The percentage of web site visitors who arrive at a web site entry page, then leave without going any deeper into the site.Join SEOVigyan.com & Get free SEO Tips by SEO Expert India

Amount of the time spent by a visitor for a web page is named as the Bounce Rate. The more time the visitor will have for a web page the more bounce rate that page would be having.

Bounce rate is the percentage of single page visits or visits in which the person left your site from the entrance (landing) page. This entrance can be from any page on your site. Use this metric to measure visit quality - a high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance pages are not relevant to your visitors.

The count of visitors who visit a site, but do not go deeper into the site and leave it almost immediately. One important point is bounce rate should always be less

Bounce rate (sometimes confused with exit rate)[1] is a term used in web site traffic analysis. It essentially represents the percentage of initial visitors to a site who "bounce" away to a different site, rather than continue on to other pages within the same site.
The formula used to calculate bounce rate is:
Bounce rate = total number of visits viewing only one page / total number of visits

Remember this, having a high bounce rate for your site is not good..If you want to decrease it, post good contents on your site..
