The percentage of web site visitors who arrive at a web site entry page, then leave without going any deeper into the site.
I think, he explained it in a good way and simple words. Usually we can see good analysis of our bounce rate of site through Google analytics and other stat counters.
Amount of the time spent by a visitor for a web page is named as the Bounce Rate. The more time the visitor will have for a web page the more bounce rate that page would be having.

Thanks everyone for helping me understand about bounce rate and can you please post some more info about bounce rate like how much bounce rate is normal?
Hi everyone.
I have heard this(BOUNCE RATE) phrase any times in forum and Internet but still cannot understand what is it. can any explain please.
Bounce rate is the percentage of single page visits or visits in which the person left your site from the entrance (landing) page. This entrance can be from any page on your site. Use this metric to measure visit quality - a high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance pages are not relevant to your visitors.
(number of visitors leaving your site on the opening page itself/ Total number of visitors in your website for all webpage)* 100 => This is simply called bounce rate.
