Will Social Media Kill SEO?

With the rise in popularity of social media, some have speculated that the future of traditional search may have lost some of its shine. But i don't think that social media can kill SEO.

I dont think so. social media rather seem to have become part of SEO.

^I agree. Social media has been a great way for some SEO to earn money. although I must say that not all the times, it can be good in bringing in money. same as other techniques, it may bring traffic but it does not bring conversion...

I think No! Instead it helps the SEO process a lot. Now a day social media optimization is a major part of SEO.

yep. Guess so.,

Social Media will become the good resource to derive traffic to your website. Even if you are doing good promotion via social media, if your website is not good in SEO prospect, the result will be zero..

Its always good and advisable to go for Social Media once your website was good in SEO. It will be easy to derive traffic via Social Media if your website has good content and fulfills all user's query..

No that can not kill but that is sure that day by day.. The number of networking site will definitely increase..!!

I don't thinks so, Even its a add-on help to the Search engine optimization. We can be thankful to Social networking.

Social media resources are used for promotional purpose so you can't say that it is harmful anyways.

Social Media and PR strategies against competitors'.

I guess social media is one of the integral parts of SEO. So it cannot kill SEO since it lives through SEO.

I think no, SMO will become the derive good traffic to your website.

Social media marketing means having page on Facebook, account on Twitter, Scribd and linkedin kind of websites.

We have to think - How they can kill Organic Search Pattern?

A large no. of internet population still searching keywords in Google, and not on Facebook...

I cannot imagine what would happen if social media really kills off SEO.
Though really impossible.
