Long or Short Domain Names

Which one you prefer and why?

Obviously the short one which can easily remember and should be relevant to the services provided through it but short domain names are already taken so people are selecting long one which optimize easily for search engines.

I think if you find out short that's good because short domain name easily remember!!!

I think of 4 characters or less when I think of "short domain names".
