Difference between SEM and SEO
SEO (Search Engine Optimization): SEO is the process of getting traffic from search engines via the natural, non-paid methods like on-page optimization, link building etc.
SEM (Search Engine Marketing): SEM includes what SEO does plus the paid methods like ppc advertising etc are included in it.Free Classified Ads & BUSINESS/PROFESSIONAL SOCIAL NETWORK

yaa nice to explain but i think SEO should be done first and properly, then do SEM, SEM includes SEO, paid inclusion, pay-per-click etc...

I think, we should use PPC first to get some nice amount of relevant visitors although PPC doesn't help in SEO.

Thanks for explanation, you explain very well now both are important but i prefer SEO, if you have less amount then go for SEO, if you have hugh amount then try SEM.
