Thread: Leaving comments on a blog.

Right my SEO Lovely when I leave a comment on my blog and leave my url to my blog, does tha tbenefit my blog in anyway? Or is it just a link for benefitting the blog I comment on? I never quite understand what it means. Can someone tell me exactly what that does for me if it does. I mean it would maybe make someone curious to visit my blgo back isn't it but does it help my blog at all? Although I comment on a blog because I like what I read but would be nice to know for SEO purposes if it does something for my blog. Thanks again. Sorry for all the questions but I want to learn a lot. Huggles.

Leaving comments on your own blog will not help in any way...but yes...if you got any comment on your blog posts; then you can contribute your replies too in the same posts.

And, commenting on other related blogs will also help in getting more visitors and backlinks for your blog. Just don't SPAM, make a nice required comment with your signature.

MIT is correct. Leaving comments on your own blog does nothing. The goal of leaving comments on blogs is for backlinks and traffic. Always use your website address in your comment no matter the blog you visit, but try to post on related sites on a regular basis. This will allow others to get to know you as well as develop your reputation if you post comments that are well thought out and insightful. It will have the added effect of giving you more traffic too as they see you more often.

Yes silly me I mean commenting on other blogs. No I wouldn't spam any blogs. I want to leave meaningful comments on blogs that I enjoy reading fitting in with the similar niche. Thanks a million guys.

I think the heat burnt out my brain. We are having a bit of thunder and rain this very second so it may cool down for a day or so. I really hope.

There are two things why certain visitors leave a comment first is they liked your site and the second is they just want to spam your site and get traffic from it.

I actually get paid work from someone asking me to leave comments on blogs for him. It does not pay very well but is all money! I assume that it does him a lot of good or else he would not keep paying me to do it.

Leaving comments can get you some traffic sometimes and can also prompt other bloggers to come and leave you a comment as a gesture. This can lead you to you two become good partners and helping each other out.

I have left ten comments today on relevant blogs throuhg the entrecard system. As I go and drop a card, I then leave them a comment and if they have ads, I click on an add. That is my way fo taking my time to appreciate all the work they do on their blogs daily. I have worked all morning on ours lol.

Yeah i do believe that blog comment could really help out blogs.. aside from the benefit of getting visitors..considering leaving a comment without the intention of "spamming" ..and i think somehow links from blog comment do also have a weight on s.e's ...and on more thing it do also help in building reputation for the blog..

you don't need to go clicking on ads for no reason. that won't really help you since they won't even know that you clicked.

I think that most ads clicked are through people being generous and feeling that it is a way of paying people to thank them for their efforts rather than through genuine interest.
