How much neccessary is blogs commenting in SEO?
Is blog commenting a necessary part of SEO ? I want to promote a site related to SEO services, then on which type of blogs, blog comment posting will be beneficial?

Well blog commenting is one of the strategy in SEO, if you know how to make a comment that can benefit your site, for example in a blog which is related to my site, I will make a comment with a keyword link and if the webmaster approve my comment then I can get back links to his/her blog. This is only my own opinion about the blog commenting.

If the blog is a popular blog having good PR, but not related to my site then what will happen? It will be positive or negative.

If you want to get results quickly, then this SEO tool is not suitable. You have to do posts regularly. not one week or month but more and more.

DOFOLLOW blogs are the ones who are useful on SEO, you get some PR juice from the blogs you are commenting on.

Blog commenting is very good in SEO point of view. It is necessary and very good for quality one way back links.

It is not a "necessary" part of SEO, but a little technique used to gain a few backlinks from relevant blogs. Blog comments will be beneficial if it is relevant to your niche.

Blog commenting effectiveness is really limited especially nowadays, were No follow attributes are being implemented for spam purposes. blog commenting is beneficial to relevant niche and if you done it wisely.
